FREE HIRE OF THE FUNCTION ROOM: Our 180 seater function room is available for hire for free when you become a member. Yes you read right, Free. We dont charge you anything for bar staff or anything like that, Where else in otley do you see that? You can hire it out for just about anything, birthday parties, wedding parties, anniversaries, action group meetings, sports presentation nights etc etc. If you wish to set up a new action group and use our room then please feel free to contact us. A CLEAN AND RESPECTABLE ENVIRONMENT: Here at Otley social club we do not tolerate foul language, Anti social behavior or the use of drugs. This is a family club where the people of otley and the surrounding area can come and enjoy our facilities. Thats why we are a member of the pub watch scheme and anyone who breaches these rules will be asked to leave. As you can see in the tour section our club is modern and caters for the needs of all of our members.
BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY: Alot of our members feel very strongly about local issues. Alot of these are discussed at regular intervals here.
SUMMARY OF THE CLUB AS A WHOLE
This club as a whole is a place for the people of otley to come to and feel part of the community. The common mistake for people to make about clubs like us is that they think of the club as being a place where only current members can come in, this isn't true. Social clubs have moved on alot since the days when you got stared at when you come through the door, Women were not welcome and the place being full off smoke and men in dirty work clothes. This club has progressed alot over the last few years, Women are now allowed to join the committee and become members, Non members are now allowed to come in and use the club up to three times before they are asked to join so they can get a feel for the place and we also welcome younger members, After all these younger members are the future of our club! May we lastly say one final thing, Dont judge the club by other peoples opinions as we all know that different people like different things, Come in and try the club out for yourself as only YOU will be able to judge if this club gives you what you want.
